Base Salary
$191k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance software platforms and services for Uber’s cyber defense.
- Build AI agents supporting threat intelligence, threat hunting, research, and other cyber defense workflows.
- Translate cybersecurity requirements into automated, production-ready capabilities with cross-functional experts.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to deliver end-to-end cyber defense solutions.
- Define measurable standards and outcomes across cyber defense domains and guide team strategy.
- Deliver secure, high-quality code and mentor junior engineers on engineering and security practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field plus five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience, or a relevant master’s degree plus three years of experience.
- At least three years of experience with Python, Go, Java, or C++.
- At least three years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and Docker or Kubernetes.
- At least three years of experience with AI/ML, including building AI agent-driven workflows.
- At least three years of experience with SQL or MySQL.
- At least three years of experience with data structures and algorithms, technology-stack design, production-service debugging and monitoring, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $191,100 to $209,000, plus eligibility for Uber’s bonus program and other compensation.
