Responsibilities
- Own automation coverage for assigned squad services.
- Build fast-turnaround regression suites that gate weekly deployments.
- Detect, isolate, and report failures rapidly, including identifying the affected service, commit, or event.
- Perform load, stress, and soak testing against latency and throughput targets.
- Integrate tests into trunk-based CI/CD and manage flaky tests.
- Conduct contract and API testing between services.
- Generate synthetic data and traffic, including simulated calls, event streams, and audio.
- Partner with developers to investigate and resolve failures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of SDET experience.
- Strong automation programming experience in Go and Python rather than manual testing scripts.
- Expertise in root-cause debugging and issue isolation.
- Experience with parallelized regression suites, smart test selection, and rapid test results.
- Experience testing high-load, high-throughput, low-latency systems through load, stress, and soak testing.
- Experience testing event-driven systems, WebSocket flows, and browser extensions.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD and managing test flakiness.
- Experience with contract and API testing, synthetic data, and traffic generation.
- Experience evaluating AI, LLM, or ML outputs is a strong plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with one-week sprints and weekly deployments.
