Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture for IPC services, balancing speed of delivery with long-term maintainability.
- Design, build, and operate backend services using Python, PostgreSQL, Go, and a Java-based rules engine.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives and coordinate integration work across the platform.
- Drive platform capabilities to scale with Bestow's growing partner ecosystem.
- Mentor engineers through code and design reviews, raising the technical bar.
- Ensure production reliability by defining SLOs and improving observability.
- Utilize AI coding tools in your workflow and promote effective AI-assisted development practices.
- Communicate technical decisions and status clearly in writing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional backend software development experience at the Staff or Senior level.
- Strong proficiency in Go and Python; Java experience is a plus.
- Deep experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL or other relational databases at scale.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes and GCP.
- Proven track record of building, deploying, and troubleshooting production services.
- Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions.
- Experience with agentic AI coding tools integrated into daily workflow.
