Base Salary

$147k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Advance the ML platform to enable additional use cases for discover-feed recommendations.
  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain projects in collaboration with ranking and retrieval teams.
  • Own projects end to end, including ideation, implementation, analysis, and maintenance.
  • Apply state-of-the-art techniques to improve the product and ML serving.
  • Use AI tools and technologies and discuss AI fluency during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience with distributed-systems architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
  • At least 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure, including model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging.
  • At least 1 year of experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing, fine-tuning, or deploying LLMs in production environments.
  • Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience designing large-scale distributed systems using C++.
  • Preferred: experience analyzing high-throughput streaming data and integrating real-time insights into systems.
  • Preferred: ML or AI research experience, including campus labs, research internships, or co-authored papers.
  • Preferred: strong understanding of ML systems, generative AI, and recommender systems.
