Responsibilities
- Lead WebSphere ND to WebSphere Liberty middleware modernization, including dependency assessment, target runtime design, migration testing, cutover support, and production readiness.
- Support mission-critical banking applications across development, test, UAT, disaster recovery, and production environments.
- Manage environments, releases, changes, refreshes, recoveries, deployment planning, implementation validation, post-deployment checks, and technical documentation.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, Infrastructure as Code, and deployment automation.
- Support REST APIs, JMS, IBM MQ, JDBC, certificates, keystores, compliance controls, incident management, root-cause analysis, and operational resilience improvements.
Requirements
- Strong experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server ND, IBM WebSphere Liberty, or equivalent enterprise middleware platforms, including architecture, runtime configuration, and dependency management.
- Experience with Java 8 or later, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, enterprise application support, performance tuning, compatibility validation, and production-readiness assurance.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, Git workflows, Infrastructure as Code, deployment automation, shell scripting, and controlled release practices.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting RHEL or Enterprise Linux, including environment recovery, disaster recovery, and operational resilience support.
- Experience with REST APIs, JMS, IBM MQ, JDBC, SSL certificates, keystores, truststores, and regulated-environment security or compliance awareness.
- WebSphere ND to WebSphere Liberty migration experience, banking or financial services experience, and exposure to cloud-native technologies, containerization, resilience testing, vendor management, or operational improvement are highly desirable.
