Base Salary
$154k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales Representatives and enterprise merchant prospects in pre-sales engagements.
- Investigate prospect pain points, business needs, and functional requirements to design tailored solutions.
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, API walkthroughs, reports, and integration examples.
- Own the technical lifecycle from pre-sales presentations and solution design through implementation and go-live support.
- Diagnose and explain technical issues using logs, API responses, and other diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Financial Partnerships, and Finance teams to resolve challenges and influence the product roadmap.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity, efficiency, and output quality.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven experience in the payments industry.
- Direct experience in Sales Engineering, Implementation Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Solutions Architecture.
- Strong technical skills and exceptional client-facing communication skills.
- Deep understanding of API-based integrations, especially REST/JSON APIs, with proficiency in Postman and related development and testing tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, organization, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical business audiences.
- Preferred: experience with a payment service provider and specialist domains such as platforms, card issuing, or in-person payments.
- Preferred: formal engineering degree or highly technical professional experience.
