Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Provide input into technical direction, architecture, code reviews, and engineering standards.
- Embed Devin, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Codex into daily engineering workflows and drive adoption across the team.
- Define standards for prompt engineering, code review, and quality guardrails for AI-augmented development.
- Mentor mid-level engineers through hands-on technical leadership and example.
- Design and maintain data models and queries across Oracle and MongoDB with emphasis on integrity, schema design, and performance.
- Apply cloud-native engineering principles involving Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and delivery practices.
- Make engineering decisions that account for technical quality, business impact, security, and regulatory context.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful experience in a senior, lead, or principal capacity on complex enterprise systems.
- Experience delivering software in financial services, fintech, or another regulated and high-complexity environment.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentor engineers as a senior individual contributor.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to engineering and business audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Java and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
- Hands-on production experience with Angular; React or other modern frontend frameworks is a plus.
- Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and MongoDB.
- Practical daily use of AI coding tools and conceptual knowledge of prompt engineering, context window management, retrieval-augmented generation, tokenization, and grounding techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud-native concepts, containerization, infrastructure as code, CI/CD practices, and DORA delivery metrics.
- Preferred experience includes Angular at production scale, React or Vue, agentic AI patterns, MCP, A2A workflows, Google ADK or other agent development frameworks, 12-Factor App principles, and microservices architecture.
- A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
