Responsibilities
- Design and develop Windows software and services that deliver features for commercial customers and partners at global scale.
- Create design documents, identify dependencies, and collaborate with stakeholders and partner teams on requirements and delivery plans.
- Implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, participate in on-call monitoring, and coordinate restoration of degraded or interrupted systems and services.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while mentoring other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or a master’s degree and 7+ years of experience; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Excellent design, coding, debugging, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused and innovative mindset with a passion for engineering craftsmanship.
- Cross-group design and coordination experience is advantageous.
