Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction for Instacart's Bazel build system and Go platform.
- Design and drive initiatives to improve build times and CI reliability.
- Own developer experience metrics and prioritize investments based on data.
- Partner with various engineering teams to implement changes with minimal disruption.
- Mentor engineers and grow the community of Bazel and Go experts.
- Represent the team in cross-organizational technical discussions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- Deep expertise with Bazel, including remote caching and performance tuning.
- Strong experience writing and operating Go services at scale.
- Proven track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
