Base Salary
$140k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Investigate production issues and customer-reported bugs, emphasizing root-cause analysis and maintainability.
- Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions.
- Improve code quality, testing practices, and development processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend development experience, including distributed systems and microservices.
- Strong experience with Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency with GraphQL, TypeORM, and Nest.js.
- Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes and working with RabbitMQ or other message brokers.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, independent work, collaboration, communication, and task-management skills.
- Ability to write clean code, create effective automated tests, and break larger requirements into self-contained changes.
- Ruby/Rails experience, GraphQL API implementation or consumption, proprietary hardware or device integration experience, and retail or fuel and convenience industry experience are preferred.
