Responsibilities
- Design and develop resilient on-premises and multi-cloud database solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Python.
- Build scalable full-stack applications with responsive web interfaces, RESTful APIs, backend services, and database and ETL integrations.
- Develop high-performance multithreaded, multiprocess, concurrent, and asynchronous data and metadata processing solutions in Python.
- Deliver secure database and ETL capabilities covering ELT, ETL, Spark processing and streaming, replication, partitioning, clustering, CDC, and time-travel debugging.
- Build self-service tools, operational dashboards, workflow automation, metadata-driven solutions, and firmwide data engineering tooling.
- Develop AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, natural language processing, and automated data masking.
- Contribute to system modernization, platform standardization, observability, cost efficiency, database backup and restore, DDL manipulation, access management, and high-performance data movement.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience designing and implementing complex database and data solutions combined with full-stack application development.
- Strong database and data engineering experience across platforms such as PostgreSQL, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, Snowflake, Azure SQL, MongoDB, Teradata, and Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, and Angular for full-stack application development.
- Understanding of API design, microservices architecture, OAuth, service principals, token-based authentication, and secure application development.
- Experience optimizing complex Python scripts and parallel execution solutions; Apache Spark for Python experience is an asset.
- Experience designing and developing AI-powered solutions with LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
- Ability to build and optimize data pipelines and data architectures, preferably using Talend, Kafka, and/or Informatica.
- Expertise in performance optimization, scalability, troubleshooting, analytical problem-solving, and software design.
- Knowledge of both French and English is required.
