Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, and performant Java software solutions.
  • Design and develop REST APIs using Spring and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and global teams to define requirements and integrate solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Implement Java unit testing practices and apply secure coding standards.
  • Contribute to technology communities, risk controls, governance, and continuous technical improvement.

Requirements

  • Excellent Java programming skills and knowledge of object-oriented programming, multithreading and concurrency, exception handling, and JVM concepts.
  • Experience with REST API design and development, Spring, Spring Boot, Git, TeamCity, and Java unit testing, ideally JUnit.
  • Experience with at least one full lifecycle delivery of a large commercial system.
  • Technology or engineering university degree.
  • Preferred experience with Docker, microservices and distributed architectures, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Solace, Spring Data Mongo, and MongoDB.
  • Investment banking experience, ideally developing front-office FX trading applications.
  • Strong teamwork, initiative, stakeholder influence, and ability to collaborate with global teams.
