$321k - $378k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design and phased, multi-quarter delivery of Vanta’s enterprise organizational model.
- Define core abstractions for hierarchical product lines, business units, data isolation, audit workflows, scoped approvals, and data residency.
- Retrofit the live production system toward a multi-tenant organizational structure using safe, incremental migration paths.
- Ship meaningful customer value in stages while applying product judgment to a complex enterprise problem space.
- Drive technical execution and alignment across squads without direct authority.
- Partner with Engineering leadership, Product, Design, and enterprise customers on the enterprise structure roadmap.
- Set technical standards, shape architecture across teams, and model engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 15+ years of deep backend engineering experience.
- Experience leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives in fast-paced, product-focused environments.
- Experience designing platform abstractions that address diverse and conflicting enterprise requirements.
- Track record of shipping structurally complex systems incrementally, with independently valuable phases.
- Experience operating effectively across teams and squads without direct ownership.
- Deep familiarity with tenancy models, role-based access control, data isolation, scoped permissions, cross-tenant operations, and access boundary design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex systems to technical, product, leadership, and customer-facing stakeholders.
- Data residency or GovCloud exposure is preferred.
- Willingness to use AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
