Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI agents using governed model selection, evaluation, safety, versioning, and testing practices.
- Implement agentic automation for cloud infrastructure, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, and operational workflows.
- Operate and improve high-availability distributed systems on AWS, addressing performance, scalability, stability, observability, and automated remediation.
- Develop AI-augmented self-service capabilities in the Cortex developer control plane for service scaffolding, deployment debugging, and issue resolution.
- Improve infrastructure-as-code, platform standards, security policies, documentation, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and use post-mortems to improve system reliability and agentic automation.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with engineering, product, security, Staff engineers, and management on platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure for large-scale, high-availability, customer-facing distributed systems.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading well-scoped platform initiatives.
- Hands-on experience building and operating AI-driven systems and agentic workflows in production.
- Experience reducing operational toil through agentic AI in at least one meaningful workflow.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes at scale, containerized and serverless architectures, Terraform, Ansible, and Datadog.
- Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or custom agentic architectures, along with production prompt engineering.
- Strong coding ability in Python and/or Go.
- Strong security, privacy, compliance, AI governance, model safety, prompt-injection prevention, and data-isolation awareness.
- Preferred experience includes service mesh and traffic management, GitOps, CI/CD orchestration, MLOps or LLMOps, AI-assisted development tools, and AI security frameworks.
