Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable applications in a cloud-based environment.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables with product owners, architects, and senior engineers.
- Apply architectural standards, security guidelines, and software engineering best practices.
- Use prompt engineering, generative AI, coding assistants, agent-based workflows, and AI-powered tools across the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and test automation.
- Monitor systems, respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and remediate operational issues.
- Research emerging technologies and conduct proof-of-concept projects.
- Maintain design, implementation, and operational documentation.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and automation.
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, estimation, project planning, and prioritization.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads while contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of Azure public cloud and cloud-native development, with exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Oracle, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, DevOps practices, CI/CD, TDD, and BDD.
- Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor for coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and design.
- Understanding of application security principles and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, documentation, and independent-working skills.
- Preferred exposure to data pipelines, ETL, Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and AI-assisted SDLC practices.
