Responsibilities
- Serve as the Python subject matter expert for the Cloud and Infrastructure team and mentor IT team members.
- Design and build Python frameworks and applications that improve cloud production and security posture.
- Identify appropriate AWS Public Cloud use cases and help automate secure access to AWS services.
- Build APIs and automation to support infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD deployments.
- Drive cloud transformation and automation in collaboration with application teams across the IT organization.
- Provide technical leadership, federation, cross-functional partnership, and vendor collaboration.
- Investigate complex issues across multiple technologies and drive them through completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least five years of prior experience is required.
- At least five years of experience developing enterprise Python and event-driven products.
- Four to five years of experience developing and maintaining cloud automation tooling, preferably with AWS and boto3.
- Demonstrated experience building or designing Python frameworks and applications.
- Experience building DevOps APIs for infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD using Python, Flask, FastAPI, Swagger, and tools such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Daily experience working with Linux-based operating systems.
- Financial services exposure is a plus.
- Ability to provide technical direction, mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and effective management of multiple priorities.
