Base Salary

$169k - $192k/yr

Responsibilities

Own features and system architecture from problem definition through production.
Design and build backend services, APIs, and data processing workflows.
Set technical direction and architectural standards for engineering teams.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver software solutions.
Enhance performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems.
Make impactful technical decisions and communicate tradeoffs effectively.
Raise engineering standards through mentoring and code reviews.
Debug complex production issues and drive teams towards durable fixes.
Leverage AI tools while maintaining high standards for software quality.

8+ years of experience in software engineering with increasing technical scope.
Strong proficiency in modern programming languages like Python, Go, or TypeScript.
Experience designing and building backend services and distributed systems.
Deep understanding of relational databases and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka or Redis.
Ability to set technical direction and lead cross-team initiatives.
Strong communication skills for technical discussions and planning.
