Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack software products, including web or mobile frontends and backend services.
- Provide input into product architecture and design and help solve technical problems collaboratively.
- Develop scalable REST APIs and event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka and distributed systems patterns.
- Establish and maintain continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines.
- Apply test-driven development, automated testing, paired programming, and other collaborative engineering practices.
- Support software products in user environments and participate in monitoring, observability, and lifecycle management.
- Provide technical leadership for at least one technology stack and coach more junior team members.
- Participate in standups, iteration planning, retrospectives, and product strategy execution.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in software development, system integration, delivery, and software lifecycle automation.
- At least 6 years of experience developing scalable APIs and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience architecting, designing, developing, and delivering large-scale distributed cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Strong experience with multiple programming languages, preferably Java with Spring Boot and Python.
- Experience designing REST APIs, including Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, versioning, testing, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka and messaging-based solutions.
- Experience with Agile and eXtreme Programming environments, pair programming, continuous integration, and iterative delivery.
- Strong experience with test-driven development and automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, or similar technologies.
- A four-year bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Desirable qualifications include agentic AI application development, scalable Python enterprise applications, and Microsoft Fabric knowledge.
