Base Salary
$144k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain software for the TAK ecosystem.
- Design, implement, and test TAK plugins and features.
- Work with TAK protocols and geospatial formats.
- Collaborate with military personnel and product owners.
- Deliver functionality iteratively and validate with users.
- Ensure plugin and server compatibility with stakeholders.
- Contribute to secure software for DIL environments.
- Operate with an agile mindset and frequent releases.
- Work with a balanced team to meet mission objectives.
- Champion AI-augmented ways of working.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with the TAK ecosystem, especially developing plugins.
- Proficient in Java, Kotlin, or C++ for Android or Windows.
- Strong understanding of geospatial concepts and data formats.
- Experience with Test Driven Development and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills in a pair-programming environment.
- Comfortable in Linux environments and with container tools.
- Familiar with DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, design patterns, and software architecture.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance for US Government work.
