Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance a high-frequency, low-latency Order and Execution Management system.
Deliver scalable, maintainable Java software using sound architectural principles, design patterns, and modern development frameworks.
Participate in L3 production support, intra-day support, and on-call rotations.
Investigate and resolve complex technical and production issues across distributed applications and system components.
Design solutions, review code, and promote software quality, maintainability, performance, and coding standards.
Develop and maintain unit and integration tests and contribute to QA automation.
Drive automation and continuous improvement across development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, perform optimizations, and support operational excellence and remediation activities.
Contribute to security, risk, and control initiatives by addressing vulnerabilities and operational risks.
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and participate in architecture and solution design reviews.
Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and influence engineering standards, tools, practices, and technical direction.

Strong software development experience with Java and strong knowledge of Java SE fundamentals, including collections, generics, and exception handling.
Hands-on experience with Java features including Streams API, lambda expressions, and records.
Understanding of multithreading, concurrency patterns, asynchronous communication, event-driven architectures, and JVM memory management.
Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, TeamCity, GCP, Kubernetes, SQL, Linux, and Bash scripting.
Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks through debugging and JVM tuning.
Experience with code reviews, coding standards, software quality, maintainability, and QA automation practices.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to work in an international, cross-functional environment.
Experience in Capital Markets or trading systems is preferred.
Knowledge of software design patterns, Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Solace, FIX Protocol, and mission-critical production systems is preferred.
