Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable platform capabilities for enterprise applications, integrations, and services.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code, configuration automation, self-service capabilities, and standardized deployment patterns.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated controls, reusable templates, and release processes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities for platform health and service visibility.
- Analyze performance and reliability issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide tier-3 technical support, incident response, problem management, and defect resolution for platform services.
- Support upgrades, releases, capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, and operational readiness.
- Embed security, resilience, compliance, and least-privilege principles into platform engineering practices.
- Create documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guidance, and mentor engineers across global teams.
- Contribute to platform roadmaps, lifecycle planning, modernization decisions, technical reviews, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of hands-on platform, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, or software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration, and enterprise platform services.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or comparable tools.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, source control, artifact management, and automated release processes.
- Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, performance engineering, and incident troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of security controls, identity and access management, resilience, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for platform automation.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, IT service management, secure engineering, and product-oriented platform practices.
- Preferred qualifications include relevant cloud certification, Certified Kubernetes Administrator or comparable certification, HashiCorp Terraform Associate or comparable certification, and ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification.
