Responsibilities
- Develop and operate SAP BusinessObjects Data Services ETL jobs and reusable data flows across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Build batch and near-real-time data pipelines supporting analytics, reporting, data warehousing, and downstream applications.
- Implement data transformation, enrichment, standardization, harmonization, profiling, cleansing, matching, deduplication, and governance processes.
- Build retrieval-grounded data engineering agents that recommend transformations, generate ETL mappings, propose quality rules, and support conversational pipeline investigation.
- Design automated schema, reconciliation, referential integrity, regression, and AI-behavior evaluation checks.
- Optimize pipeline performance and reliability through parallelism, pushdown, error handling, restartability, idempotency, recovery, monitoring, and alerting.
- Perform root-cause analysis for pipeline failures and data issues and automate preventive remediation actions.
- Support migration from legacy ETL toward modular, metadata-driven, AI-augmented architectures integrated with cloud data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) ETL development and operations.
- Solid understanding of data integration patterns, transformation logic, enterprise data quality, data warehousing, and analytics fundamentals.
- Experience designing reliable and scalable data pipelines with performance, observability, and governance controls.
- Ability to build tool-augmented workflows, retrieval-grounded recommendations, evaluation loops, and safe automation boundaries for AI-native data engineering.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, data governance frameworks, and cloud data ecosystem integration.
- Scripting or automation experience for pipeline orchestration and operational tooling is beneficial.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
