Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and strategic product initiatives while remaining hands-on in software development.
- Design, implement, review, test, troubleshoot, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance enterprise software and production services.
- Lead development of complex Java features and services across applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms.
- Design AI-powered capabilities and champion AI-assisted development practices, including evaluation of large language models, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.
- Drive platform modernization, technical-debt reduction, performance, scalability, reliability, automation, and developer productivity improvements.
- Mentor senior engineers and emerging technical leaders and influence technical direction across global teams.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Security, DevOps, executive leadership, and international engineering teams.
- Establish technical standards, communicate complex technical concepts, and promote consistent engineering practices.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, distributed systems, and modern enterprise software development.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, cloud-native applications, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in production engineering workflows and building AI-powered software or developer-productivity solutions.
- Familiarity with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, Model Context Protocol, or comparable AI technologies.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including cloud architecture and AI integration capabilities.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience developing enterprise SaaS applications, preferably in the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, complex production-issue resolution experience, and demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction.
- Contributions to open-source projects, technical publications, patents, or other evidence of technical leadership are valued.
- Excellent English communication skills and experience collaborating across international engineering teams.
- Eligibility to work in the Czech Republic and ability to work regularly from AutoRABIT’s Prague office.
