Responsibilities
- Design integrated AD/ADAS software architecture specifications for embedded software systems.
- Elicit, analyze, prioritize, and define functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design AD/ADAS software architectures that satisfy system requirements and constraints.
- Define CPU and software-component allocation, scheduling, memory utilization, and other hardware-resource usage.
- Evaluate processing load and memory capacity and develop mitigation plans when resource limits are exceeded.
- Establish software architecture strategies and development processes.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and report to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
- Practical experience eliciting, analyzing, and defining requirements for embedded software development.
- Knowledge of software platforms and middleware including POSIX, RTOS, Ubuntu, ROS, and QNX.
- Knowledge of C, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, and C#.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese.
- Conversational-level English communication ability with a TOEIC score of 730 or higher.
- Preferred experience designing embedded software architectures.
- Preferred knowledge of SoC-based embedded systems with multicore processors, GPUs, and hardware accelerators.
- A Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred experience developing autonomous driving or advanced driver-assistance systems.
