Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop Linux kernel drivers for USB-connected XR devices.
- Lead hardware bring-up for novel custom silicon.
- Research scalable USB software architectures and influence SoC architecture.
- Optimize USB use cases for performance and system health metrics.
- Define and deliver hardware abstraction layer and Android framework layers for Android userspace.
- Collaborate across product areas to build user-facing features for split-compute XR systems.
- Identify and fix systemic USB issues and optimize timing and performance using agentic tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of Linux Kernel development using C/C++.
- Experience working on the Linux kernel.
- Experience with one or more of test automation, code refactoring, test-driven development, build infrastructure, software optimization, debugging, tools, or testing frameworks.
- Preferred experience with Linux or BSD kernels.
- Knowledge of embedded systems development, RTOS concepts, device drivers, and hardware/software integration.
- Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and embedded Linux.
- Extensive knowledge of Android or WebKit.
- History of open-source Linux contributions.
