Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend services and platform capabilities.
- Drive architecture and technical decisions focused on scalability, reliability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Build cloud-native solutions on AWS, including REST APIs, distributed microservices, and serverless systems.
- Evaluate technologies, conduct technical feasibility studies, and build proofs of concept.
- Champion clean code, automated testing, secure software development, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
- Lead production issue resolution, root-cause analysis, observability improvements, and continuous platform enhancements.
- Collaborate with Product, Architects, QA, DevOps, and Support teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Use AI-powered engineering tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery.
Requirements
- 12–14 years of experience building scalable enterprise or SaaS products using modern software engineering practices.
- Strong expertise in Java, cloud-native application development on AWS, system design, and backend engineering.
- Experience building microservices, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies, containerization, observability, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills with a passion for continuous learning and AI-assisted software development.
- Primary skills include Java 17+ and Python.
- TypeScript and/or Node.js experience and familiarity with MySQL, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, Apache Solr, or similar technologies are preferred.
- Knowledge of TR-069, TR-369, and TR-181 device management standards is a plus.
- AWS Certification at the Associate level or above, or equivalent cloud experience, is preferred.
