Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain platform firmware and board support packages for Gen2 hardware.
- Write and optimize low-level drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, DMA, and similar peripherals.
- Bring up new boards and SoCs from power-on through functional firmware.
- Implement bootloaders, hardware abstraction layers, and power management.
- Integrate firmware with an RTOS.
- Debug hardware and firmware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD.
- Optimize firmware for performance, memory footprint, and real-time constraints.
- Collaborate with silicon, hardware, and application teams on interfaces.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 7+ years of embedded firmware or driver development experience in C and C++.
- Strong understanding of microcontrollers/SoCs, memory, interrupts, and concurrency.
- Experience with device driver and peripheral bring-up, including SPI, I2C, UART, and DMA.
- Experience bringing up and debugging boards with laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG.
- Familiarity with RTOS and Linux kernel driver development.
- Preferred: ARM Cortex-M/R experience.
- Preferred: bootloader, secure boot, or OTA update experience.
- Preferred: video RGB/RGB MIPI, CSI-2 camera-interface, and ISP pipeline experience.
- Preferred: robotics, sensors, or autonomous systems background.
