Responsibilities
- Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient software for infrastructure applications and systems.
- Design, deploy, automate, scale, and support cloud network and infrastructure services.
- Participate in architectural design and design reviews for Google Cloud network systems.
- Review code, provide technical feedback, and maintain standards for quality, observability, testing, and maintainability.
- Build and automate infrastructure-as-code tests using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Golang, Jinja, and Helm.
- Monitor service health, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
- Lead project execution, communicate objectives, manage priorities and deadlines, and deliver features and projects.
- Document features, enhancements, and fixes in Confluence, SharePoint, and GitHub repositories.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7+ years of professional software and infrastructure-as-code development experience.
- Deep expertise in one or more of Python, Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub.
- Extensive experience with software development practices and design patterns.
- Proficiency with GitHub and JIRA.
- Any public cloud certification.
- At least 2 years of recent experience triaging incidents or product-defect cases in public cloud platforms.
- Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and both private and public cloud infrastructure.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, test automation frameworks, and tools.
- Preferred: strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and multidisciplinary leadership skills.
