Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications and microservices.
- Build secure, high-performing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Participate in architecture, system design, code reviews, and engineering excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams on business-critical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
- Work with distributed systems, messaging platforms, caching, and databases.
- Apply CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps principles, and Agile development practices.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong backend software development experience using Java.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable distributed systems.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, relational databases, and source control systems.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of security best practices, authentication, authorization, and secure API development is preferred.
- Experience in high-volume transaction processing or payment systems is preferred.
