Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, integrate, and commercialize audio and voice software modules on Qualcomm DSP platforms.
- Develop and enhance DSP frameworks, services, and drivers for new audio and voice use cases.
- Develop drivers for audio interfaces including I2S, HDMI, and SPDIF.
- Optimize DSP software for MIPS and memory usage.
- Analyze requirements, maintain software, troubleshoot real-time audio DSP systems, and support software debugging.
- Drive design discussions and collaborate with hardware, HLOS, audio tuning, and other global engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field with 4+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 3+ years or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with DSP or embedded processors and proficiency in C/C++, computer architecture, and operating systems.
- Knowledge of multithreaded programming and strong software debugging skills in real-time operating systems, preferably on DSP platforms.
- Experience with audio use cases, voice use cases, audio and speech pre/post-processing, compression standards, and DSP optimization.
- Experience with DSP-platform tools and techniques such as Trace32 and JTAG.
