Base Salary

$154k - $239k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on designing, implementing, and deploying Generative AI and machine learning solutions on AWS.
  • Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and state-of-the-art GenAI solutions for customer engagements.
  • Design, deploy, evaluate, fine-tune, and optimize LLM-powered agents, tools, embeddings, and retrieval approaches.
  • Deliver customer briefings, deep dives, presentations, public talks, blogs, white papers, and reference architectures.
  • Partner with data scientists, solution architects, sales, business development, partners, and AWS GenAI service teams to accelerate adoption.
  • Translate customer feedback into technical and business requirements for AWS product and engineering teams.
  • Create field-enablement materials and support a worldwide internal community of GenAI subject matter experts.
  • Travel up to 30% may be required.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a specific technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience in application or infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • 5+ years of experience with Data and AI technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, databases, or storage.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on machine learning, AI, or deep learning solutions.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in ML-related languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with LLM architectures, training and inference lifecycles, model optimization, prompt engineering, function calling, agentic workflows, embedding fine-tuning, retrieval evaluation, and LLM-powered agents.
  • Experience with LangChain, LLAMAIndex, data augmentation, Responsible AI, performance evaluation frameworks, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and RESTful APIs.
  • Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, engineering, computer science, or another quantitative field.
  • Preferred qualifications include infrastructure, database, and networking architecture experience; experience with end-user or developer communities; and experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
  • Preferred AWS experience includes Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with executives, developers, customers, partners, and senior ML engineers.
