Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical vision, architectural roadmap, and engineering standards for FuzeRx’s B2B and consumer platforms.
- Design and guide microservices, APIs, database schemas, data pipelines, and scalable distributed systems.
- Write and review clean, optimized, maintainable code for critical system components and promote modern testing practices.
- Own platform reliability and performance, including PostgreSQL query optimization and high-throughput AWS infrastructure.
- Serve as a technical consultant, mentor, and force multiplier across multiple engineering squads.
- Partner with Product Managers, Pharmacy Operations, and Engineering Managers on technical feasibility, roadmap risk, and technology decisions.
- Architect privacy-focused systems that protect patient data and meet HIPAA and SOC2 requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and build prototypes or proofs of concept for new initiatives.
- Provide critical tier-3 escalation architecture support during standard business hours when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of progressive software engineering experience, including at least 2 years as a Tech Lead, Architect, or Staff Engineer designing complex systems.
- Proven experience designing, building, and scaling high-volume API-led transactional or logistical platforms.
- Experience building LLM-enabled applications with orchestration, evaluation, and observability tools such as LangGraph, Mastra, Temporal, LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, Braintrust, and Langfuse.
- Strong relational database skills, including query optimization and data modeling.
- Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure tools including Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Significant product-development experience with Ruby, Python, and/or TypeScript/JavaScript is preferred.
- Experience in Pharmacy Tech, Digital Health, or regulated FinTech/HealthTech environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading major architecture modernization projects such as monolith-to-services migrations or database overhauls is preferred.
- Ability to communicate architectural trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
