Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of automated security requirements and validation tooling into engineering pipelines.
  • Build and maintain internal security tooling and automated controls that reduce manual security checkpoints.
  • Perform Infrastructure as Code security scans, including Terraform scans, and support cloud network isolation controls.
  • Contribute to cloud IAM reviews and maintain Zero Trust boundaries in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Configure and run automated LLM-based security review workflows for pull request analysis.
  • Help protect generative AI features against prompt injection and insecure output handling risks.
  • Support source code audits and API security reviews while developing toward independent ownership of complex assessments.
  • Provide actionable feedback on code and configuration issues and collaborate with software, SRE, DevOps, and product teams.
  • Support risk-based decisions and transparent communication during active security incidents and high-pressure product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in application security, cloud security, software engineering, or a closely related technical role.
  • Exposure to manual code review, dependency or container scanning, and cloud security concepts through work, projects, or study.
  • Working knowledge of a public cloud platform such as AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to read and write code in at least one language such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Working interest in the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and AI security risks.
  • General understanding of PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or DORA.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, CISSP, OffSec OSAI, OSCP, or GCIH.
  • Clear communication, analytical problem solving, resilience under pressure, and the ability to explain technical risk to non-technical stakeholders.
