Responsibilities
- Improve the scalability and reliability of exchange-rate infrastructure.
- Design and implement real-time data-streaming flows for monitoring financial-risk metrics.
- Process large data volumes, resolve performance bottlenecks, and build fault-tolerant solutions.
- Develop expertise in finance and treasury while contributing to Wise’s financial infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Operations, Analytics, Trading, Product, and Data Science teams to align technical and business objectives.
- Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute to documentation, diagrams, code reviews, and best coding practices.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
- Strong ownership, communication, independent-working, collaboration, and project-planning skills.
- Ability to break complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value.
- Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Skill in producing written documentation and diagrams.
- Commitment to continuous delivery, code reviews, and best coding practices.
Benefits
