Base Salary
$190k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain Elasticsearch clusters across multiple cloud availability zones and on-premises environments.
- Evaluate and tune cluster configuration, indexing, search, query performance, security, and administration.
- Maintain infrastructure for performance and data integrity and upgrade clusters as permitted by dependent applications.
- Create and customize clusters for development and business needs, including logging and enterprise search.
- Troubleshoot unassigned shards, automation issues, node failures, and cluster failures.
- Implement Elasticsearch best practices, security controls, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, development, and operations teams on scalable and stable production deliverables.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Elasticsearch administration experience.
- Direct experience maintaining and integrating Elasticsearch within an operational enterprise information system.
- Experience deploying and using Elasticsearch in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Master’s degree and 15 or more years of prior relevant experience.
- TS/SCI clearance and polygraph required.
- Preferred: experience working on customer systems and understanding customer system development policies.
