Base Salary
$90k - $110k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create tools, frameworks, and quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
- Design test plans and test cases from functional and design specifications, execute tests, and analyze and report results.
- Partner with development teams to deliver functionality on schedule and with required quality.
- Act as a test lead by planning testing work, assigning tasks, and supporting project deadlines.
- Review and approve test scripts, expected results, test results, and defect descriptions.
- Build testing solutions for web, services/API, and database requirements.
- Participate in requirements, architecture, design, functional, technical, and project-scoping reviews.
- Perform functional, system, regression, exploratory, data quality, and performance testing.
- Capture quality assurance metrics, estimate delivery risks, and perform risk analysis.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in software testing or development, including testing, coding, and debugging procedures.
- Experience programming with Python, Java, or other languages.
- Experience designing and developing automated tests with tools such as Selenium and Appium across UI, service, and data layers.
- Experience refactoring and extending test automation and performance frameworks.
- Experience with SOAP and REST services and understanding of SOA architecture.
- Experience with Git or other distributed source control systems.
- Experience with SQL/PL-SQL, SQL queries, stored procedures, and relational database management systems.
- Experience with data quality testing, test data management, and mapping automated test coverage.
- Experience developing test plans and cases, performing exploratory testing, and maintaining defect reports.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner, Performance Center, StormRunner, and JMeter.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences and produce clear documentation and presentations.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor's or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with CI, DevOps, rolling deployment or upgrade models, AWS or Azure, microservices, containers, and Docker is a plus.
