Responsibilities
- Participate in or lead design reviews and select among available technologies with peers and stakeholders.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance backend software solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
- Review other developers’ code for style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
- Maintain documentation and educational content, adapting it to product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for team-owned features.
- Follow company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, including Java or Kotlin.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
