Base Salary
$69k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications across frontend and backend components.
- Build backend services, APIs, and application logic using Python.
- Develop user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and languages.
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, geospatial data, and other data sources.
- Write, test, debug, and maintain reliable software.
- Use Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Research technical problems, evaluate new tools and approaches, and contribute to technical documentation.
- Support application deployment and automation while considering current architecture, operating environments, and future enhancements.
- Work with users and technical team members to understand requirements and build practical software solutions.
Requirements
- Experience designing, developing, modifying, or implementing custom software applications.
- Experience with Git or source control.
- Ability to work with object-oriented programming, software testing, and dependency or package management.
- Ability to independently research technical problems.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for classified information access.
- Candidates must complete the required skills assessment and meet the minimum proficiency threshold.
- Preferred experience with Cesium JS, ArcGIS, Leaflet, Mapbox, or Maplibre GL.
- Preferred experience with AWS deployments, including ECS or EC2.
- Preferred experience with system design, scalability and reliability, API development, OAuth, and Department of War problem sets such as modeling and simulation, systems engineering, operations analysis, and wargaming.
- Top Secret clearance is preferred.
