Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solutions using UI5, ABAP, OData, and advanced data modeling.
- Develop and optimize ABAP OData services and UI5 application interfaces for enterprise workflows.
- Configure and refine S/4HANA data structures, including CDS views, associations, and annotations, for reporting and analytics.
- Translate merchandising and supply chain scenarios into robust technical designs with functional experts and product teams.
- Review custom solutions and integrations, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.
- Coordinate with basis and infrastructure teams on technical feasibility, performance baselines, and capacity planning.
- Apply secure coding and data-handling practices to ABAP, OData, and UI5 development.
- Prepare technical specifications covering interface contracts, data models, and deployment steps.
- Perform impact analysis for change requests and upgrades to maintain compatibility across system landscapes.
- Conduct unit and integration testing of S/4HANA objects and UI5 applications.
- Mentor peers on S/4HANA data modeling, ABAP, OData optimization, and UI5 practices.
- Demonstrate solutions, gather stakeholder feedback, and document architectures, reusable patterns, and configuration guidelines.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of extensive hands-on experience with S/4HANA, UI5, ABAP, OData, and advanced data modeling.
- Strong understanding of S/4HANA data architecture, CDS views, data exposure mechanisms, and performance optimization for large datasets.
- Experience designing and maintaining enterprise integrations between S/4HANA and surrounding applications through standardized interfaces.
- Knowledge of merchandising or retail processes, including pricing, assortment, inventory, and promotion workflows, where applicable.
- Ability to analyze requirements, estimate effort, and plan technical solutions for distributed teams in a hybrid work model.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technology and business stakeholders.
- Willingness to stay current with S/4HANA innovations, UI5 evolution, and modern design patterns.
