Base Salary

$140k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain capacity models for major platforms and user journeys.
  • Translate growth into infrastructure capacity plans balancing performance and cost.
  • Quantify cost vs. risk trade-offs and provide recommendations.
  • Partner with finance to improve cloud forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze scaling behavior and implement cost-efficient resource patterns.
  • Identify capacity risks and drive solutions through automation.
  • Leverage tooling to produce actionable capacity signals.
  • Create concise views and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical partner to engineering teams.
  • Mentor engineers on capacity planning best practices.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years in capacity engineering or cloud cost management in a public cloud environment.
  • Experience modeling capacity and cloud spend for large-scale systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud deployment architectures and their cost drivers.
  • Proficiency with cloud cost and usage tools and observability platforms.
  • Advanced data analysis and modeling skills to build and communicate capacity models.
