Base Salary
$112k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage database assets in Azure cloud environments.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code automation to provision Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and related PaaS databases.
- Establish standards and best practices for PaaS database automation.
- Collaborate with database subject matter experts to define database automation standards and provision environments.
- Customize cloud systems to support performance, maintenance, and security requirements.
- Use cloud orchestration, monitoring, event management, and enterprise automation tools to support operations management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and six years of Information Technology experience, or technical certification and/or college courses with seven years of Information Technology experience, or nine years of Information Technology experience.
- Experience with Azure SQL databases and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
- Automation experience with Ansible and Harness.
- Experience with as-a-service technologies, cloud orchestration and management technologies, monitoring and event management technologies, and automation technologies.
- Operations management experience and experience with IT standards, procedures, policies, and ITIL v3.
- Understanding of business priorities, industry trends, and markets.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- Preferred: development experience in C#, Java, or Python, and experience with Azure networking and security.
