Responsibilities
- Build production-quality React and TypeScript applications with strong component design, performance, accessibility, responsiveness, error handling, and maintainability.
- Shape legal AI products by clarifying requirements, simplifying workflows, proposing interaction patterns, and incorporating user feedback.
- Work with lawyers and client teams to understand search, document review, answer validation, and workflow needs.
- Create transparent AI retrieval experiences with citations, source previews, metadata, snippets, filters, confidence signals, feedback mechanisms, and audit-friendly interactions.
- Integrate front-end experiences with APIs, authentication, permissions, search services, AI responses, document metadata, workflow actions, and enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, retrieval architects, Azure engineers, legal knowledge experts, and client stakeholders from prototype through production.
- Use AI tools to accelerate code drafting, testing, refactoring, component exploration, and documentation while retaining engineering judgment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in consulting or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript and the ability to build polished component-based enterprise applications.
- Comfort working with APIs, complex state, authentication flows, role-based permissions, asynchronous data, accessibility, testing, source control, and CI/CD.
- Interest in AI product design and sufficient understanding of retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, vector search, hybrid search, document chunking, citations, source grounding, prompt workflows, and agentic interfaces.
- Ability to think beyond tickets, work through ambiguity, understand user workflows and system interactions, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Next.js, React Query, Zustand, Redux, Tailwind, Fluent UI, Material UI, Vite, Storybook, Playwright, Jest, Azure Static Web Apps, Azure App Service, or Microsoft Graph is valuable.
- Experience with legal technology, enterprise search, document management, knowledge management, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, iManage, NetDocuments, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, SaaS products, internal tools, workflow platforms, or professional services is preferred.
- Experience providing expert advice and solutions to clients is preferred.
- Certified Management Consultant (CMC) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom for any employer, be current United Kingdom residents, and complete required security checks.
