Base Salary
$185k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Shape future-proof interfaces that meet client-facing team requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Frontend Engineers, and other partners to build new features.
- Lead or heavily contribute to large cross-functional projects with significant business impact.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Improve system observability, reliability, engineering standards, and AI tooling adoption.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building distributed systems or platform infrastructure for high-scale, data-intensive workloads.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java or a similar object-oriented language.
- Familiarity with Airflow, Kubernetes, Ray, Terraform, FastAPI, gRPC, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and Splunk.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes clusters such as GKE or EKS, serverless architectures, and managed services including Lambda, Cloud Run, or ECS.
- Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, Redis, Memcached, database optimization, and resilient fault-tolerant architectures.
- Familiarity with SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, data warehouse modeling, complex queries, joins, aggregations, and transformations.
- Understanding of platform monitoring, performance and latency optimization, cost management, and scaling high-throughput API services.
- Deep experience building LLM-powered and agentic systems beyond chat-based interfaces.
