Responsibilities
- Develop mission-critical backend features and services for the Workato platform.
- Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
- Build server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and SRE teams to meet high availability and scalability requirements.
- Partner with the AI team to design and implement features for a new AI assistant.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Evaluate existing systems and propose architectural improvements.
- Investigate alternative technologies and present recommendations for architectural review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of industry experience.
- 4+ years of strong Go backend development experience.
- Understanding of databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, and monitoring for large web applications.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration.
- Ruby on Rails experience is a plus.
- Open-source contributions are a plus.
- Experience with Docker, Redis-based caching, public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and third-party REST APIs at scale is desirable.
- Experience in related fields such as DevOps, machine learning, database administration, or enterprise applications is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams and communicate in English.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and deliver product features from design through production and maintenance.
