Responsibilities
- Lead projects or systems and coordinate the activities of other engineers.
- Define the technical tasks and direction that other engineers will follow.
- Improve existing structures, processes, and engineering rigor standards.
- Reconcile competing priorities involving time, quality, complexity, and risk to identify effective solutions.
- Represent PayPal in interactions with partners, customers, and industry organizations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with the full agent-building lifecycle and cloud platforms.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, LangGraph, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt and context engineering, GCP Vertex AI, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, and vector databases.
