Base Salary
$188k - $282k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, support, and continuously enhance Vertex’s enterprise data and AI platform.
- Build and maintain production-grade AI starter kits and end-to-end reference implementations.
- Package solutions as templated internal tooling and opinionated defaults aligned with enterprise standards.
- Partner with platform engineering, governance, and product teams to accelerate AI development and adoption.
- Provide reusable architecture patterns, starter kits, and developer-first abstractions to enable teams across Vertex.
- Lead scalable enablement programs and advocate for cloud-first, innovative platform approaches.
- Advise and influence high-impact initiatives across the organization and improve platform processes and practices.
- Manage and groom epics and themes for product and solution roadmaps while coordinating multiple cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working with data, advanced analytics, and related technologies.
- 5+ years of experience developing cloud-based data products.
- Strong experience delivering AI/ML and GenAI products.
- 5+ years of experience delivering projects in agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies, particularly GenAI, LLM, Agentic AI, Dev/DataOps, or MLOps.
- Experience with Snowflake or Databricks is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or relevant years of experience.
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, mentoring, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and learn new technologies quickly.
