Responsibilities
- Define and facilitate solution architectures that leverage enterprise capabilities, processes, technology, data, and people.
- Consult with business partners, sponsors, stakeholders, and delivery teams on technical solutions.
- Create and maintain solution architecture artifacts for applications, projects, and application support.
- Drive architectural decisions and establish the technical vision and direction for solutions.
- Develop candidate architecture solutions, roadmaps, and proposals aligned with business plans.
- Ensure quality designs when addressing infrastructure and development issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve organizational efficiency and incorporate new technology patterns and ways of working.
- Collaborate with enterprise and portfolio architects and mentor less experienced architects and developers/engineers.
- Support application modernization and design compliant solutions across business, information, application, technology, and security architecture disciplines.
- Perform occasional hands-on development during solution delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of related experience in technology environments.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working as an architect on large-scale projects.
- Experience leading architecture activities with Enterprise Architects or Portfolio Architects.
- Experience mentoring less experienced architects and developers/engineers.
- Experience in Wealth Management technology ecosystems and the financial services industry.
- Experience with web technologies, networking, application modernization, virtualization, service architecture, and cloud computing.
- Development experience with RDBMS, modern programming languages and frameworks, services, SDLC, and automation.
- Experience with architectural modeling languages and frameworks such as UML, TOGAF, ArchiMate, the 4+1 View Model, and LeanIX.
- Experience across business, information/data, application, technology, and security architecture disciplines.
- Experience with Java Application Servers and SSO is an asset.
- TOGAF Level 1 and 2 certification and one or more BAITS domain certifications are preferred or required as listed qualifications.
- Ability to analyze business and technical concepts, communicate high-level solutions, simplify complex ideas, and collaborate across business functions.
- Ability to evaluate Total Cost of Ownership and Return on Investment and work within organizational policies, practices, and standards.
