Responsibilities
- Lead customer-facing cloud migration and modernization engagements from discovery and mobilization through implementation and post-migration optimization.
- Drive technical workshops, solution envisioning, presales activities, risk mitigation, performance testing, and validation with business and technical stakeholders.
- Design well-architected, scalable, highly available, secure, and resilient AWS applications and infrastructure.
- Modernize legacy .NET, Java, and Python applications into cloud-native web applications, APIs, microservices, and data integrations.
- Apply VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, HCX, and VMware Cloud on AWS expertise to complex migration programs.
- Advise on and implement AWS best practices for application development, deployment, monitoring, infrastructure as code, and cloud operations.
- Collaborate across AWS product and service teams to deliver customer solutions and inform feature innovation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
- 5+ years of database experience, including SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis.
- 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation experience with serverless distributed solutions.
- 5+ years of software development experience with an object-oriented programming language.
- 3+ years of cloud-based solution, system, network, and operating system experience using AWS or an equivalent platform.
- 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing experience managing complex, large-scale projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications include infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, scripting with Python or PowerShell, Java or .NET programming, container technologies, database migrations, compliance frameworks, and multi-cloud environments.
- Strong consulting, analytical, communication, cloud architecture, application modernization, AWS infrastructure, VMware, security, networking, resiliency, and cloud-native design skills.
