Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for system health and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and applications.
- Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Participate in future on-call rotations for critical incidents and provide timely resolution.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to team growth.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least five years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
- Strong experience with GCP.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or JavaScript scripting.
- Extensive experience with GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Terraform, with customer provider development experience as a bonus.
- Familiarity with Prometheus and New Relic for monitoring and logging.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Relevant cloud platform certifications are preferred.
- Experience with microservices architecture, database administration using SQL or NoSQL systems, and performance tuning and optimization is preferred.
