Base Salary
$180k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for developer and coding-agent workflows across the engineering organization.
- Build the developer-facing cloud coding layer, including environment setup, context, tools, permissions, observability, review, and delivery.
- Improve agent-generated code and architecture through repository structure, interfaces, documentation, instructions, and feedback loops.
- Design agent context, model selection, reasoning effort, skills, memory, and workflow systems based on evidence.
- Improve CI, local development, testing, debugging, deployment workflows, and other developer productivity bottlenecks.
- Measure correctness, reviewability, cost, latency, developer satisfaction, and human intervention using research, DORA, SPACE, and agent evaluations.
- Drive adoption by working directly with engineers, teaching practices, and turning successful experiments into organizational defaults.
- Partner with infrastructure and security engineers on sandboxing, credentials, approvals, auditability, and safe cloud-agent access.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar coding-agent tools to produce maintainable software.
- Experience building developer tooling or internal platforms used by engineers beyond the immediate team.
- Experience making meaningful improvements to CI, testing, repository workflows, or developer productivity in a substantial long-lived codebase.
- Ability to interview developers, identify root causes, create evidence-based roadmaps, and make product judgments for internal systems.
- Strong software engineering experience building and operating substantial production software, with the ability to implement solutions independently.
- Experience evaluating nondeterministic agent behavior by comparing prompts, context, tools, models, and workflows against representative tasks.
- Ability to influence multiple teams, set standards, change defaults, and build trust without becoming a gatekeeper.
- Comfort working across platform code, repository conventions, evaluation data, developer interviews, documentation, and hands-on enablement.
- Preferred experience with cloud or remote development environments, coding-agent control planes, secure execution sandboxes, agentic code review, agent tools, skills, context systems, memory, orchestration, model routing, DORA, SPACE, or security- and compliance-sensitive environments.
